Bridget Weller received her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Social Work degrees from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She has completed two post-graduate Clinical Social Work fellowships at Yale University School of Medicine. Her internship experience includes a management internship at the Center for Diagnosis and Referral, and a clinical social work internship at the University of Michigan Hospital. She has also worked as a psychology support staff member for Public Psychiatric Hospital and Huis Perkins in Belgium. Additionally, she has held several research positions with emphasis on domestic violence, adolescent and female criminal behaviors, and race-urban interactions. She began the Social Work Doctoral Program at UNC-CH in the fall of 2004. Her research interests include school organization, adolescent resiliency, and community-level issues' impact on academic success.
